A family becomes complete when you have your little ones running around your home. A happy family is an image of parents and their children together in a picture.Children fill a space in your heart that you never knew existed and filling your house with the cries and laughs of a baby makes your home happier and your future brighter.
Unfortunately, there are some couples who are still not able to achieve this beautiful dream due to infertility. Infertility can be treated through various advanced medical techniques, and one of them is surrogacy.
India is becoming an increasingly popular destination for surrogacy for infertile couples because surrogacy in India is done at a relatively low cost as compared to other countries and also because access given by Indian surrogacy centres is much higher. Here, surrogacy packages range between 13 to 15 lakhs, which include all aspects- surrogate mother fee, fertilization, delivery fee, etc.
Surrogacy is a method of assisted reproduction where intended parents work with a gestational surrogate who will carry and care for their baby(ies) until birth. Intended parents use surrogacy to start or grow their families when they can’t do so on their own.
A legal agreement is made between the intended parents, surrogate mother and the clinic. The surrogate mother agrees to carry the baby for 9 months and then gives it to the intended parents once it is born.
In gestational surrogacy, the method seems like this:
There are two kinds:
Traditional surrogate. It’s a female who attains artificially instilled with the male intended parent’s sperm. They then carry the baby and bring it for you and your partner to elevate.
A traditional surrogate is the baby’s biological mother. That’s because it was their egg that was fertilized by the male intended parent’s sperm. If both intended parents are infertile then a donor sperm can also be used.
Gestational surrogate. A procedure called “in vitro fertilization” (IVF) now makes it feasible to collect eggs from the intended mother, inseminate them with sperm from the father, and put the embryo into the uterus of a gestational surrogate.
The surrogate later carries the child in her womb until birth. In this procedure, the surrogate doesn’t have any genetic association to the child because it wasn’t their egg that was used.
A gestational surrogate is known as the “birth mother” and the biological mother is still the woman who is either an intended parent or whose egg was inseminated.
Gestational Surrogacy is becoming more and more common these days so as to ensure that the Surrogate mother has no biological connection with the child, which is not possible if the surrogate’s egg is used for the embryo.
Surrogate Mother is a woman who agrees to carry someone else’s child in their womb. She carries the baby for 9 months and after giving birth, the child is handed over to the intended parents.
Surrogacy can be done in several different ways, depending upon the need. You can opt for-
